Medications to avoid – No antihistamines 5 days prior to appointment. They include Benadryl (diphenhydramine), or any products containing Benadryl (i.e. Tylenol PM and Motrin PM, Nyquil, store brand allergy medicine), Zyrtec (cetirizine), Xyzal (levocetirizine), Allegra (fexofenadine), Claritin (loratadine), Clarinex (desloratadine), Alavert (loratadine) or Dimetapp Allergy (diphenhydramine). Also you may not use Astelin, Astepro, azelastine and Patanase nasal sprays.  Other prescriptions to avoid incude Atarax/Vistaril/hydroxyzine, tricyclic antidepressants (nortriptyline, amitriptyline, Elavil), doxepin.  Do not use allergy eye drops, including Patanol, Pataday, Alaway, Zaditor, keototifen, Lastacaft, Bepreve, Elestat, epinastine, and azelastine.

Please wear short sleeves for the skin testing.
